Vestry Meeting Minutes

May 17, 2009

Vestry Present: Ted Guilford, Beverly Hill, C.A. Wallin, Virginia Helms, Mary Lou Layne, Chuck Harrill, Bob Underwood, Carolina Villa, and Michael Cobb

Staff Present:  Becky Underwood, Vestry Clerk

Chuck Harrill, Sr. Warden, called the meeting after worship service to discuss purchase of the lawn mower for the property and additional prayer books.

Chuck  said we need 40 more prayer books. The vestry members present approved this purchase unanimously.

C.A. Wallin reported on the lawn mower. He found a John Deere mower, 48” for $4,500 at Wilmington Lawn Company. Bob Underwood made a motion to purchase the mower. Virginia Helms seconded the motion and it passed with one dissenting vote. Beverly Hill did not agree with taking funds from the Capital budget for this purchase.

C.A. also advised the vestry that he would be using approx. $300 from his general maintenance fund for hauling trash and left over yard sale items from the Church property this week.

Chuck Harrill adjourned the meeting.
