Welcome to Holy Cross Episcopal Church
Carolina Beach / Wilmington, North Carolina

Mission Statement

To spread the Good News of our Lord Jesus Christ with love and grace to all those who are seeking to know Him through worship, study and outreach.

Holy Cross is ...

  • the people - we are a diverse community, but united as living members of our Savior Jesus Christ, striving to follow His teachings and examples in our daily lives!
  • music - a blend of traditional hymns from the Episcopal Church's 1982 Hymnal and contemporary songs from various sources.
  • casual - dress as you feel comfortable, God doesn't care what you wear and neither do we!
  • growing and learning - we are new and sometimes stumble, but our Lord continues to lead and guide us on our journey, creating opportunities to serve Him and adding to our numbers!
  • looking forward to welcoming you to our family!

Mission of Episcopalians for Global Reconciliation (EGR)

The Episcopal Church and the Millennium Development Goals - See What the "Power of One Can Do"

Our Commitment

As Christians we are called to carry on Christ's work of justice and reconciliation in the world. This social engagement is inherent in our faith: God demands it.  We are allies with everyone who is working for the eradication of extreme poverty by meeting the Millennium Development Goals. Together we will:

  • Hold our leaders accountable for keeping the promise to achieve the Millennium Development Goals.
  • Advocate for a shift in economic policies and practices of the citizens, corporations and government of the U.S.
  • We work primarily within the Episcopal Church and the worldwide Anglican Communion. Together we will:
  • Encourage ongoing renewal through prayer and action for global justice and reconciliation.
  • Give 0.7 percent of our personal, congregational, diocesan and national church budgets towards the Millennium Development Goals.
  • Use our power as citizens and a church community to advocate for the necessary changes in U.S. policy to accomplish the Millennium Development Goals
